Entourage's Ari Gold Inks Book Deal With Hachette

Posted on March 3, 2015

Hollywood super agent Ari Gold, who is one of the most entertaining characters on the HBO television show Entourage is writing a book. Yes, the fictional character played by Jeremy Piven just inked a book deal with Hachette Books. Gold's book will be called The Gold Standard: Rules to Rule and it will hit bookstores on May 12, 2015

The book will reveal Ari's tried and true methods for succeeding in business. After all, he's dominated Hollywood and deal making for years. Okay, so there have been some ups and downs, but Ari and his assistant Lloyd (Rex Lee) always end up on top.

Entourage ended its run on HBO in 2011, but a feature film based on the hit tv series hits theaters this spring. This explains the book. After all, although we love movie star Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier), it's Ari that steals every scene he is in. The book will also feature Vincent's brother Johnny (Kevin Dillon), his friend and sometime manager Eric (Kevin Connolly) and the irrepressible Turtle (Jerry Ferrara). The character of Ari is based on real life Hollywood super agent Ari Emanuel .

According to a statement by Hachette Gold will reveal his secrets to success including, "his unique, effective and, some would say, outrageous philosophies on running a successful business, client management, employee motivation, keeping a happy home life, and other keys to his many successes." We shudder to think what Ari's marriage tips will entail given the fact that he's always working and generally missing most family events.

Ari explains his new book this way: "In my humble opinion, if you want to run a successful business this is the only book you’ll ever have to read. And my humble opinion is never wrong." Well, that sounds like Ari. Mauro DePreta, the publisher of Hachette Books and editor of the book, had this to say about the project: "You can read Dale Carnegie, Napoleon Hill and Stephen Covey, but no one can give you the real world experience on how to succeed like Ari Gold."

We love Entourage and can't wait to see the movie. And you just know Ari's book will be hilarious.
