Posted on August 20, 1999

101communications LLC announced that it has acquired Recharger Magazine, a monthly publication serving the office products recycling industry. The acquisition also includes the annual Recharger WorldExpo Conference. Recharger publisher, Tom Enerson, will join 101communications and continue his leadership of the properties.

"Recharger's audience of value-added resellers, vendors and service firms makes up a vital channel for IT products into the booming small and medium-size business marketplace," said Curt Hessler, 101's chairman and chief executive officer.

Recharger Magazine provides information on marketing strategies, quality control/quality assurance procedures, computer and printer troubleshooting/repair, and detailed step-by-step instructions for remanufacturing laser and ink jet cartridges. A special section, "Inside Recharger," examines industry growth and trends.
