Poll: 44% of Adults Read Political Blog

Posted on April 18, 2005

A new Harris Interactive Poll has found that 44% of adults have read a political blog and 27% read them once a month or more. Another interesting study was that of all the people reading political blogs only 7% bother to comment on them -- disappointing numbers for the pro-comments group out there. The poll also found that adults reading political blogs were more likely to have a college or postgraduate degree (52%) than a high school degree or less (33%). The poll also found that slightly more men than women read political blogs (48% to 40%).

At least in this study is seems the people understand they are reading a blog. We aren't surprised not everyone is commenting. They should ask how many people also read the comments on the articles.
