A Behind the Scenes Look at the Scholastic Headquarters in New York City

Billy DiMichele, the VP of Corporate Productions at Scholastic, gave Media Bistro an insider's tour of the Scholastic building in New York City. Billy shows off the flagship bookstore on the ground floor, the text-filled carpet in which one editor found a misplaced comma (he wouldn't point it out to the camera), the rooftop terrace, restaurant, cool Harry Potter memorabilia and the basement auditorium where Taylor Swift performed live for school kids across the nation. He briefly chats with David Levithan, publisher and editor of The Hunger Games series. David showed off the new collector's edition of The Hunger Games, but wouldn't let it out of his office.

Billy has incredible energy, no doubt derived from running up and down those giant stairs all day long. It's a very interesting look at where the editors work at the world's largest children's book publisher. Take a look:
