Posted on April 30, 2014

Abrams has announced it will publish The Oliver Stone Experience in Fall 2015. Abrams says the authorized publication will be a comprehensive retrospective of Stone's life and career. It will cover his early years as the dutiful son of a Republican stockbroker through the trauma of his infantry experience in Vietnam. It will also cover his reinvention as an Oscar-winning screenwriter and director.

Filmmaker and critic Matt Zoller Seitz, author of The Wes Anderson Collection, a New York Times bestseller, has been conducting interviews with Stone for the book. Some of Stone's work covered in the book include Midnight Express, Scarface, Salvador, Platoon, Born on the Fourth of July, The Doors, JFK, Natural Born Killers, Any Given Sunday, W., Savages and The Untold History of the United States.

Abrams says The Oliver Stone Experience will include original artwork, scene analyses and footnotes. It will also include personal photos, script pages, letters, and other materials provided by Stone.
