Ahmet Zappa Publishes Children's Picture Book

Ahmet Zappa, son of late musician/composer Frank Zappa, has published his first children's picture book, Because I'm Your Dad, with Disney-Hyperion. The book features illustrations by Dan Santat. Zappa's book is a tribute to his happy childhood and a promise to his daughter, Halo.

The book features whimsical illustrations of monsters. One of the lines in the book says, "Because I'm your dad, you can have spaghetti for breakfast, French toast for dinner, and rocky road ice cream in the bathtub."

Zappa said in a statement, "I wrote this book for anyone who is a father, has a father, or hopes to someday be a father."
