ALA Announces Fiction and Nonfiction Shortlists for 2014 Andrew Carnegie Medals

The American Library Association (ALA) announced the short lists for the fiction and nonfiction Andrew Carnegie Medals. The winners will receive a prize of $5,000. The medals will be presented in Las Vegas in June at the 2014 ALA Annual Conference. The four finalists who don't win will each receive $1500. Here is the Shortlist for Fiction:
