Alexander Stinton Wins 2014 Sophie Kerr Prize

Alexander Stinton is the winner of the 2014 Sophie Kerr Prize. Stinton's senior these was, "The Eternal in the Poetry of W.B. Yeats." The 47th Prize was announced at a public event honoring the winner and finalists at Baltimore's Enoch Pratt Free Library. The annual Sophie Kerr Prize is awarded each year to the graduating senior demonstrating the best potential for literary achievement.

The prize, established by a posthumous gift from Kerr, was valued at $61,192 in 2013. It is the largest undergraduate writing prize in the U.S. Take a look:
