Algonquin Books Launching YA and Middle Grade Imprint Headed by Elise Howard

Posted on October 22, 2011

Shelf-Awareness reports that Algonquin Books is launching a new imprint focusing on Young Adult and middle grade fiction. Elise Howard, the former senior v-p and associate publisher of books for young readers at HarperCollins Children's Books, will take the reins at the new imprint.

The new imprint will launch by the end of 2012, with as many as six titles to start. Elise worked with Neil Gaiman on the fabulous The Graveyard Book, so we expect great things from this new venture. Neil tweeted: "@AlgonquinBooks I will miss her. But am very pleased she'll be making an imprint."
