Amazon Launches Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Imprint

Amazon has announced the launch of 47North, a new science fiction, fantasy and horror imprint. The imprint debuts with 15 books to be published in 2011 and 2012. The imprint launches with The Mongoliad: Book One, the first in a five-book, collaborative Foreworld series led by Neal Stephenson and Greg Bear.
All books in the imprint will be available in Kindle, print and audio formats at Amazon.com, as well as at national and independent booksellers. 47North will publish original and previously published works, as well as out-of-print books. Some of the other books coming soon from 47North include:

- Face of Evil by Lee Goldberg and William Rabkin
- Further: Beyond the Threshold by Chris Roberson
- A Good and Useful Hurt by Aric Davis

- Resurrection by Arwen Elys Dayton
- Technomancer (Unspeakable Things: Book One) by B.V. Larson
