Anna Kendrick to Publish Essay Collection in Fall 2016

Anna Kendrick will publish an essay collection in Fall 2016. The collection of humorous autobiographical essays will be published by Touchstone. An audio version will be published by Simon & Schuster Audio. The book has not yet been given a title.

Anna stars in the recently released Pitch Perfect 2 film which crushed Mad Max Fury Road in theaters. She has several other movies coming out this year including Table 19, The Hollars, Mr. Right and Get a Job.

The witty actress also sometimes shares humorous anecdotes on Twitter, @annakendrick47 and Instagram, @annakendrick47. Anna once poked fun at the Apple Watch on Twitter. She tweeted, "We should be thanking Apple for launching the $10,000 'apple watch' as the new gold standard in douchebag detection." Anna said on Instagram that she had to have the above selfie after Ester Dean did her hair. She says, "When Ester Dean does your hair in a scene for PP2 but it looks so good you have to selfie."

Anna says in a statement, "I'm excited to publish my first book, and because I get uncomfortable when people have high expectations, I'd like to use this opportunity to showcase my ineptitude, pettiness, and the frequency with which I embarrass myself. And while many of my female inspirations who have become authors are incredibly well-educated and accomplished comedy writers, I'm very, very funny on Twitter, according to Buzzfeed and my mom, so I feel like this is a great idea. Quick question: are run-on sentences still frowned upon? Wait, is ending a sentence with a preposition still frowned upon? I mean, upon frowned? Dammit!"
