ARZone.com Launches Adventure Racing Resource

Posted on January 5, 2000

ARZone.com, Inc. has launched its new adventure racing website. Founded by Robert Tucker, a world-class adventure racer, ARZone.com features gear sales, an online magazine, personalized performance advise, live chat interaction and an adventure racing event calendar.

ARZone Magazine includes industry news, event previews, race features, support crew and training stories, racer profiles, and feature articles and photos. Contributors such as John Howard, Duncan Smith, Will Burkhart and Martin Dugard provide fitness and training tips, war stories and previews of premier events. In addition, ARGuides, including Tucker, Burkhart, Jack Crawford, Jennifer Pope and Jason Poole, provide adventure racers with information on where, when and how to train for every level of adventure racing. General instruction, skills development, training tips and full-scale programs are available, as are personalized and group coaching.

Tucker's board of directors includes Robert Nagle, one of the leading racers in adventure racing history, and Martin Dugard, journalist and author of Surviving the Toughest Race on Earth. Dugard calls ARZone.com a critical source for the advancement of the young industry: "The gear and communications requirements alone are daunting in adventure racing. That's why this site provides such an important resource. This sport grew largely through the Internet, and ARZone will now help enable adventure racing to grow to a new level."
