Posted on May 5, 1999

Avon Books' mystery imprint, Avon Twilight, and MysteryNet: The Online Mystery Network, a publisher and producer of online mysteries and mystery websites, have formed a partnership to create an online destination to promote Avon Twilight's mystery authors, books and events.

The website, Twilight Lane, targets mystery readers, providing previews of Avon Books and Avon Twilight titles, first chapters of new releases, author interviews, monthly contests and the opportunity to subscribe to the Twilight Lane email newsletter. The new site is located at: www.MysteryNet.com/TwilightLane.

"Our partnership with MysteryNet.com is unique because it allows Internet users to find extensive information about Avon Twilight titles and to interact with the Internet's largest mystery community," says Avon Books' Senior Editor Jennifer Sawyer Fisher, who helms the Twilight imprint. "MysteryNet.com is the premiere destination for mystery readers."

"Through this new alliance," says Steve Schaffer, president of MysteryNet.com, "we are able to offer an exciting variety of choices for people to connect with their favorite Avon Twilight authors as well as to introduce avid mystery fans and casual browsers to both new and established novelists in the mystery and suspense genre."

Among the Avon Books and Twilight authors who will be featured on the site are Elizabeth Peters, Peter Robinson, Mary Daheim, Valerie Wilson Wesley, Jill Churchill, Dennis Lehane, Faye Kellerman and Mark Sullivan.
