Beverly Hills Ltd. has announced that it has acquired The Golfer, a 200,000-circulation national golf enthusiast magazine that targets an upscale reader demographic. The Golfer is a newsstand and subscription-based glossy consumer magazine for the avid golfer that delivers a highly affluent reader base. Its editorial scope includes stories about sports equipment, travel, fashion and instruction as these topics relate to the avid golfer.

The Golfer will be added to the company's Golf Division, which currently includes assets in the retail and online marketing of golf-related products. Beverly Hills Ltd. plans to quickly equip the magazine with a new website that will incorporate fresh content with special discounts and promotional offers for golf equipment and travel.

"This acquisition will provide a print media balance to the division's internet focus to usher The Golfer into the 21st century," Michael Hanlon, chairman of Beverly Hills Ltd. said. "The Golfer is a natural for our golf division, which already markets upscale sporting goods to golfers. It meshes perfectly with the online and retail offerings we provide for the golf enthusiast. It further enriches Beverly Hills Ltd. and our unique business model of combining traditional companies with new media ventures."
