Posted on October 1, 1999

BlackVoices.com, an online community for African-Americans, will launch a new magazine on Sept. 30. The BlackVoices.com 1999 Guide to Black College Football will be the first in a series of black college and lifestyle-themed magazines that BlackVoices.com will publish three times a year in print and online.

The 1999 Guide to Black College Football will debut as a 204-page color magazine, with a distribution of 100,000 copies. The edition will feature coverage of black college football, showcasing the talent of athletes, marching bands and others involved in the season's festivities. The football guide also will give behind-the-scenes insight to social activities, athletic programs and issues that impact today's young athletes.

"The BlackVoices.com magazine is the perfect extension of our online college and lifestyle initiatives," said Melvin C. Fallis, publisher of BlackVoices.com magazine and vice president/sales and marketing of BlackVoices.com. "The theme of each edition will reflect the topics and features that are relevant to our community members."
