Bloggers Complaining About Google's Blogger.com Service

Posted on April 8, 2005

Many bloggers using Google's Blogger service are unhappy with the service. An article on Wired, called "Bloggers Pitch Fits Over Glitches," lists many posts by bloggers using Blogger.com that are upset with outages and glitches. Recently Blogger.com's own blog, Blogger Buzz, mentioned a slowness issue with Blogger.com. And now the service is apparently having trouble even with the page people use to report Blogger.com problems. A message on the Blogger.com status page reads, "This would be funny if it weren't frustrating some users. We've discovered a problem with the page people use to report problems." Yesterday, the Blogger status page blamed part of the problem on automated spam, which is a growing problem for weblogs. Hopefully, Google will fix these problems so it can continue to grow its Blogger.com services.
