Blue Phoenix Ezine Launches

Posted on January 12, 2000

Cecil and Tiffany Adkins have announced the first issue of the Blue Phoenix Ezine, an electronic publication containing short stories, reviews, interviews and artwork. The philosophy behind Blue Phoenix is to find previously unknown talent -- in various fields of entertainment -- and then bring it to the forefront of Web-based publications.

The first issue of Blue Phoenix features several short stories and poems. Also headlining the issue are interviews with two talents in the comic book industry: Mark Waid and Erik Larsen. Mark Waid is responsible for (among others) the critically acclaimed Kingdom Come from DC Comics, DC's Flash, and Marvel Comics' Captain America. Erik Larsen is best known for his creator-owned title, Savage Dragon. The first issue of Blue Phoenix also has word search puzzles, editorial columns and Windows desktop wallpaper.
