Business Editors to Discuss Coverage of Seattle's Global Giants

The Society of Professional Journalists is presenting "Taking Care of Business," a panel discussion on covering the corporate giants in the Seattle area. The free program will take place Thursday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. in The Seattle Times Auditorium.
With Microsoft Corp., Boeing Co., Starbucks Corp. literally changing the way the world does business, the Puget Sound region is a hotbed for business reporting. Panelists will discuss the special challenges reporters face in getting behind the scenes at these big, highly sophisticated companies. These top-flight business reporters also will discuss how they use their geographical proximity as an advantage to develop scoops, contacts and insight.
