In discussing the publication, Philip Ruppel, Vice President and Group Publisher, Business and General Reference, credited the global network of McGraw-Hill and its affiliates in securing this timely and authoritative analysis. "We are truly a global publisher, with offices in over two dozen cities around the world. By working closely with our publishing center in Singapore and our S&P division in Hong Kong, we are able to secure immediate, up-to-date and authoritative information and bring it to market quickly. Asia Falling will be available through McGraw-Hill throughout all of its distribution centers worldwide."

The Asian crisis has been the subject of magazine cover stories and newspapers headlines for several months. Corporations around the world, including some of the largest in the U.S., have taken charges against earnings, reflecting the serious financial problems in Asia.
