Infernal Devices Author Cassandra Clare Interviews Ed Westwick About Clockwork Prince

Posted on December 10, 2011

Bestselling author Cassandra Clare interviews Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl) from Simon and Schuster's recording studio where Ed is recording the audiobook version of Clockwork Prince. This is the second book in the Infernal Devices series, after Clockwork Angel, which Ed also narrated. Cassandra has been very happy with Ed's performance on the audiobooks. She talked to Ed about his favorite books and how he chose the voices for the characters. Ed reveals that when he voices the lead character of Will Herondale, he uses a voice that is closest to his own. That led to a fan question of how he would feel about playing Will in the film adaptation of the book which is in pre-production.

Ed didn't hesitate, saying "I would love to. I would love to. It would be a great role. Just from reading the book -- there's a lot of depth there. It's something I'd relish getting to be involved it. Let's all convince the studio to hire me and we'll be all good." He also revealed who he thinks would win in a fight between Chuck Bass and Will:
