CNET Sells Computer Shopper

Dow Jones reports that CNET will sell its Computer Shopper magazine after a Quarterly Report that was below expectations.

CNET Networks, which provides information for computer buyers and sellers, posted fourth-quarter revenue of $107.4 million, up 20% from $89.2 million a year earlier.

Interactive segment revenue grew to $100.2 million, from $80.2 million a year earlier, while publishing revenue fell to $7.3 million, from $9.1 million a year earlier.

CNET said it will sell its Computer Shopper magazine to a newly formed company called SX2 Media Labs LLC and will no longer report publishing revenue as a separate item starting with the first quarter.

The website for http://www.sx2medialabs.com">SX2 Media Labs LLC says the company will provide information for technology enthusiasts. The company was founded in 2005 by David Sills and Barry Schwimmer. Other tech media published by the company include CNET Digital Living Magazine, the College Buying Guide and computershopper.com
