Cubicle Humor: My Cubicle Parodies James Blunt Song

Posted on November 13, 2006

The My Cubicle parody of James Blunt's song "You're Beautiful" offers some comic relief for the many workers stuck in cubicles five days a week. The parody song was written by Keith Hughes through his comedy service Morning Sidekick, which creates comedy material for radio.

Hughes told the Denver Post, "It was just one of those kinds of things you do and forget about. The general public is not really supposed to know about this stuff since it's really just for the radio stations. The next thing you know, someone gets a hold of it and it's all over the Internet."

The YouTube video makes the song even funnier because it shows a guy who is clearly extremely bored in his cubicle. Technically the man in the video is at a desk in a small office, so he has it even better than those working in cubicles.
