DataSift to Offer Two Years of Tweets to Marketers

A company named DataSift is offering marketers Twitter data going back two years through its Historics service. The service, authorized by Twitter, will reportedly cost a minimum of $1,000 a month. GigaOm says before DataSift Historics the farthest marketers could go back was thirty days through Gnip.

Other than making your tweets private there is not really a way to get your tweets from getting into databases like this if you don't want them there. Basically your tweets or either private or public and available for data mining. Here is a video about DataSift's service. Take a look:
