Dealnews.com Brings Buying News to the Masses

Posted on October 8, 1999

dealnews LLC has launched dealnews.com, a daily news site covering specials, promotions, discounts, and price wars on technology products. dealnews is the mainstream version of dealmac, an e-commerce news site for Apple Macintosh computer buyers.

"The Internet has fundamentally changed commerce into a buyer's market," said Daniel de Grandpre, Editor-in-Chief of dealnews. "Price robots help you find the best price on a specific product, but the best deal may be on a similar product that costs far less. The difficult task has always been finding the best deals. We're excited that Web users can now easily locate promotions and discounts as they happen, for free, with the professional quality and reliability that is dealmac's trademark."

The dealnews archives contain entries for desktop computers, notebooks, CPUs, hard drives, CD-ROM products, monitors, printers, upgrades, and more. dealnews also tracks deals on technology, like DVDs, music CDs, video games and consoles, and consumer electronics. Users can also perform text searches on the site archives and participate in message boards.
