Ziff-Davis' ZDNet announced that it was chosen by Deja News as the exclusive provider of computing content to the dejanews.com website. In addition, ZDNet will seamlessly integrate relevant discussion content from Deja News throughout its top-ranked computing and Internet website.

Deja News provides easy access to thousands of discussion forums through which people from all over the world can exchange opinions on a broad range of topics. More than 4.5 million people visit the dejanews.com website monthly to participate. Through this relationship, Deja News will integrate ZDNet content into its computer discussion area, as well as other applicable parts of the Deja News site. The Deja News site will include links to ZDNet's news and product content, so that users in the Deja News computer area will be able to stay current on the most important computing issues of the day, gaining additional insight for their discussions.

"Computing is one of the most popular discussion categories on our site, so we sought a content partner to help us enhance the user experience in this area," said Guy Hoffman, CEO and president of Deja News, Inc. "ZDNet delivers robust and trusted computing content, and we are pleased to be working with them as our exclusive provider in this category. We're also excited to be integrating Deja News content throughout ZDNet, exposing the millions of tech-savvy ZDNet users to the fun and value of Web-based discussions."

ZDNet has always emphasized the importance of building a strong community environment. ZDNet users are active participants on the site in a range of community-oriented activities, such as scheduled live chats with each other and ZD editors, and weekly ZDNet polls on current issues. By integrating the global Deja News discussion network, ZDNet will be able to significantly enhance its community features.
