The eleventh book in the popular Wimpy Kid series will arrive in bookstores on November 1, 2016. Jeff Kinney's series now has over 165 million copies in print. It is published by Abrams' Amulet imprint.

The title of the book has not yet been released. The cover image will be unveiled in a live webcast on April 28. The first book in the series was published in 2007. It has since become a fixture on the bestseller lists. It is published in 49 languages.

Jeff Kinney says in a statement, "In 2015 I had the chance to meet Wimpy Kid readers from all over the world. The tour was incredibly energizing, and I feel excited to keep writing for this generation of kids and for generations to come. I feel extremely lucky to be in a position where my work can reach millions of kids, and I see the eleventh book as a new beginning for Greg Heffley and Diary of a Wimpy Kid."

There have been three films based on the series so far. The first theatrical adaption of Diary of a Wimpy Kid will debut in April 2016. It is currently in production with the Minneapolis Children’s Theatre Company.

A pre-order page for the book has already been set-up on Amazon.com even though the release date is over seventh month away.
