Disney Acquires Rights to Jonas Brothers Book

Posted on May 31, 2008

Disney has acquired the rights to a book about the super-hot Jonas Brothers.

Disney Book Group has acquired world rights to a behind-the-scenes book from The Jonas Brothers band, due out this fall from Disney-Hyperion. "We hope our fans get to relive our shows and discover things they haven't seen before through our book," said Jonas brothers Kevin, Joe and Nick in a statement. The book deal was negotiated by Jonathan Yaged, v-p and North America publisher of the Disney Book Group. The platinum-selling band stars in next month's Camp Rock on the Disney Channel; their third album will be released in August.
This will sell, but is it really a book? It sounds like it's more of a lighthearted documentary that should be filmed, not written. The road to publishing hell is paved with behind the scenes tours of the Hannah Montana Tour, you know. And if you're asking "Who are the Jonas Brothers?" then you are squarely in the demographic that Disney isn't the least bit interested in.

Here they are singing SOS:
