DoctorGeorge.com Launches Health Service

Posted on January 31, 2000

DoctorGeorge.com, a new health resource, aims to help visitors by letting them talk to a real family doctor online. DoctorGeorge.com is actually a pool of medical doctors available online to give health advice and recommendations to patients who visit the site's consultation chatroom.

"We believe that the time has come for this kind of online service, as there is a great need to supplement standard healthcare practices on a global level to keep up with the growing population," explains COO Denise Celdran. "We don't intend to take the place of actual visits to a real doctor, but for those minor, nagging ailments, a visit to our chatroom can save the patient a lot of time and money!"

Medical questions sent in by email are personally answered by a doctor within 24 hours. Other features include email updates, scheduled reminders on health maintenance, health discussion boards and listings of hospitals, medical organizations and physicians' personal websites. Health content is also available in Chinese, Spanish and French.
