Posted on February 26, 2015

Drew Barrymore has cut a book deal with Dutton, part of Penguin Books. Drew will published a collection of autobiographical essays in the as yet untitled memoir.

People reports that Dutton tells them the book will touch on periods in Drew's life such as living on her own at age 14, cross-country road trips and motherhood. Drew also plans to add some humor to the book. She says in a statement, "I love stories that are humorous, emotional and welcoming, and that is my goal in writing this book."

Drew Barrymore also published Little Girl Lost in 1990 which detailed her problem with alcohol and drugs as a young girl. She also published a photography book last year called Find It in Everything: Photographs by Drew Barrymore. This book shares photographs of heart-shaped objects and patterns she encountered over a ten year period.

In addition to books, Drew has been busy in film. She starred in Blended last year with Adam Sandler and will next appear in Miss You Already. Drew is also an executive producer on Knife Fight, Animal and Happy Camp. The busy 40-year-old star also has a cosmetics line out called Flower. It is a partnership between Drew, Walmart and Measa. The collection is sold at Walmart stores. The image above is from her Flower Beauty campaign.
