Emily Bestler Given New Imprint at Simon and Schuster

Emily Bestler has been promoted to editor-in-chief and Senior Vice-President at Simon and Schuster. She will also head a new imprint, Emily Bestler Books. The new imprint will debut in Spring 2011 and will publish both fiction and nonfiction. Bestler has been with Simon and Schuster for 16 years and during that time has published 79 New York Times bestsellers and 12 No. 1 bestsellers. Her list of bestselling authors includes John Connolly, Vince Flynn, Jodi Picoult, Diane Setterfield, Sister Souljah, Brad Thor, Nicolle Wallace and Liza Marklund.

Bestler says, "I am incredibly fortunate to have worked with such gifted writers over the years and I'm excited, with this new imprint, to continue to bring their unique voices to readers across all formats. I'm always energized by finding new talent, and with my colleagues at Atria and Simon & Schuster, bringing it to market."
