Trailer for Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond Starring Dominic Cooper

Even before Ian Fleming wrote the James Bond novels, he lived a very interesting life. During World War II, he was assistant to the Director of Naval Intelligence in the Admiralty in London. His experiences inspired him to create a fictional spy named James Bond.

The BBC is producing a miniseries based on Fleming's life called Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond. Dominic Cooper stars as Fleming. The movie also stars Lara Pulver, Lesley Manville, Anna Chancellor and Samuel West. The producers promise a no holds barred look at Fleming's extraordinary life. But will they mention that he also wrote Chitty Chitty Bang Bang for his son? The series looks like quite a bit of fun; it premieres on BBC America on January 29th, 2014. Take a look:
