Posted on April 28, 1999

Ford Division and Ziff-Davis have jointly launched an online car guide. The guide, which will be available online to customers and as an insert in computer focused Ziff-Davis publications, is designed to help shoppers do automotive research, perform comparison shopping and find related travel information.

"Ford Division is continuously looking for ways to make it easy for automotive consumers to find information regarding purchasing and enjoying their vehicle," said Jan Klug, Ford Division marketing communications manager. "That is why we are partnering with Ziff-Davis and offering one of the most comprehensive and easy to use web sites in the industry. Onlinecarguide.com is more than a just a research tool, it offers customers information on everything related to autos, from buying a vehicle to planning their next driving vacation."

Onlinecarguide.com comes in two formats: a microsite that is linked to Fordvehicles.com and ZDNet.com, and a 12-page brochure that will be distributed to Ford dealers and will appear as an advertising supplement in Yahoo! Internet Life, PC Computing, Family PC, and PC Magazine.
