Frank Media Plans Luxury Lifestyle Magazine

Shortly after his $2.3 billion sale of Grey Goose Vodka, Sidney Frank announced he will launch a new monthly luxury lifestyle publication covering topics such as destinations, dining, fashion, sports and fitness and entertainment. The first issue of the magazine is expected to hit newsstands in the Last Quarter of 2005.
The as yet untitled magazine, a division of newly established Frank Media LLC, will be developed in part through the acquisition of existing lifestyle publications in a variety of luxury categories. Frank Media has announced the acquisition of the Travel Savvy magazine. Travel Savvy, which debuted in September 2003 is aimed at consumers between the ages of 27 and 55 and has a circulation of 135,000. The magazine covers travel destinations as well as fashion, food, chefs, celebrities and design.
"Right now there's no single lifestyle publication that provides a reliable guide to the finest of everything," said Frank. "Its no secret how I feel about lists, I love them! Every time one of my brands makes it onto a "Best of the Best" list it provides a lift to the whole company."
Industry veteran Steven Schragis has been named Publishing Director of the new venture, and will continue to search out appropriate existing magazines and even luxury lifestyle newsletters to be acquired.
"This is really a revolutionary approach to the development of a new publication," said Schragis. "By acquiring magazines and newsletters, we are going to take the best of what is out there and make it even better, creating a whole much greater than the sum of its parts."
