Franken and O'Reilly Argue and Sell Books

Posted on March 9, 2004

Al Franken says his shouting matches with Fox news show host Bill O'Reilly have helped him sell more books. He might be right as recent Nielsen BookScan data shows Franken has sold about 200,000 more copies of Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right than O'Reilly's Who's Looking Out for You.

While the two clearly disagree with one another, the bottom line is that each one has probably unintentionally helped the other to sell more books.
