Friendster Adds Video Through Grouper Partnership

Posted on June 29, 2006

Friendster has added video to its social networking service. Friendster was one of the earliest social networking sites and had some buzz going for it before it was surpassed by MySpace.com and others. However, it is still alive with 27 million members and now they have videos thanks to a partnership with Grouper. Friendster first partnered with Grouper last October to allow Friendster users to share media files.

The Friendster video service was officially announced today in an email to Friendster members. It faces serious competition when it comes to video sharing.
