Gallery Books to Publish New Book by Piers Morgan

Gallery Books has announced it will publish a new book by Piers Morgan. Morgan is the host of Piers Morgan Live on CNN. He took over the interview program from Larry King. Morgan's book is called Shooting Straight: Guns, Gays, God and George Clooney. It is scheduled for publication in October 2013.

In the book, Morgan talks about his life at CNN as host of the show. He shares details about covering breaking news events, his gun control campaign and the challenge of interviewing major stars and world leaders.

Morgan said in a statement, "There are few jobs more varied, dramatic, or exciting than anchoring a nightly cable news show, so I decided to record it, warts and all, in real time. Readers will go on the same journey I did - a pulsating, entertaining, terrifying, emotional and occasionally disastrous roller-coaster. This is The Newsroom on steroids."
