GamePen Announces E3 Website
Posted on May 27, 1997
GamePen, an online community for gamers, has introduced GamePen's E3.Net , the unofficial website for the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).
GamePen has partnered with Multimedia Wire (MMWire), a daily fax/e-mail news service for the interactive entertainment industry, and Online Gaming Review (OGR), a leading provider of gaming industry news and reviews. GamePen's E3.Net is currently providing pre-E3 coverage and will also offer daily show coverage, as well as a full post-E3 wrap up.
Aaron Loeb, editor-in-chief of GamePen, says in a statement. "E3.Net is the most complete E3 resource for industry insiders and fans. Everyone from press to PR people and from retailers to consumers, are looking to E3.Net for all their show information."
E3.Net has a combined staff of 15 reporters. The site will have a total of 25 writers, analysts and editors combing the E3 floors, suites and conferences.
Topping the list of featured areas is the return of last year's wildly popular "E3 Party List," an extensive listing of the hottest events, parties and happenings during the show. And, for the first time ever, GamePen's E3.Net will present "GamePen's E3.Net Best of Show Awards" honoring outstanding exhibitors in a variety of categories. Winners will be chosen by a panel of leading industry journalists.
Additional featured sections on the site include: The Product List, a listing (by company) of products to be shown at E3; The Contact List, a comprehensive list of press and company contacts; News, providing daily news from GamePen, OGR and MMWire before, during and after E3; The Exhibitor List, a complete list of all companies exhibiting at the show; The Press Room, a complete resource for press covering this mega industry event; Message Boards, for lively discussion regarding E3; Expo Maps, so you can navigate the Georgia World Congress Center, the GWCC Ballroom and the Georgia Dome; and much more.
