Hilarious Music Video Implores George R.R. Martin to Write Faster

Posted on June 25, 2012

George R.R. Martin's fans love him dearly. But they all have one complaint in common: they want him to write faster. A lot faster. With the release of A Dance With Dragons, there are only two books left in the bestselling A Song of Fire and Ice series. The series has been adapted for television by HBO: Games of Thrones is a huge hit.

Greg "Storm" DiCostanzo and Paul Sabourin decided to put their feelings into music and the result is just hilarious. They detail how long it took other authors such as C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien and William Shakespeare to crank out major classics and urge him to speed things up. They also implore him to stop killing off their favorite characters. Here is the video for their song "Write Like the Wind (George R.R. Martin)" which begins with this catchy verse:

George R.R. Martin please write and write faster/

You're not going to get any younger, you know/

Winter is coming, I'm growing impatient and you've still got two whole damned books to go/

So write George, write like the wind!/

We love George R.R. Martin and Game of Thrones and have been humming the song all afternoon. Take a look:
