The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larsson has passed the 1 million digital copies sold mark. ArtsBeat says this is thought to be the first time an ebook has sold that many copies.

Steig Larsson was the first author to sell 1 million Kindle books and join the Kindle Million Club. James Patterson is also a member of the club.

Knopf, the publisher of the popular trilogy, says the trilogy is selling over 500,000 copies a month in all formats.
