GreenMagazine.com Adds Mutual Fund Expert Jim Lowell as Contributing Editor and Columnist

Posted on February 2, 2000

GreenMagazine.com, part of ilife.com's network of personal finance websites, has announced the addition of Jim Lowell, who will be a contributing editor featured in the new weekly column ``Mutual Fund Monday'' beginning on February 7, 2000. Lowell is editor-in-chief of Fidelity Investor, an investment newsletter. He is also a partner and the chief investment strategist at Adviser Investment Management.

Lowell brings to GreenMagazine.com the same financial expertise which he drew on in authoring five books on investing, including Investing from Scratch (Penguin, 1997). He also brings writing experience from a stint as a columnist for the Dow Jones Investment Advisor Magazine. Lowell is frequently quoted in Barron's, BusinessWeek, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Fortune -- as well as on television and in the online media.

``Even with Jim Lowell's breadth of experience, he still manages to reinforce GreenMagazine.com's main goal -- providing understandable investment advice,'' said Ken Kurson, editor of GreenMagazine.com. ``Jim understands our mantra of rendering the complicated both comprehensible and interesting -- even funny and cool. And because he writes about funds -- probably the best starting point for beginning investors -- the column will be about something real and relevant each week.''

GreenMagazine.com is a free site delivering personal finance and investment advice. It also features investment tools, such as free real-time quotes, multiple portfolio tracking, interactive stock charting and stock and mutual fund finders.
