Posted on December 17, 1999

Hanley-Wood has announced that its home plans publishing unit, Home Planners, has signed a long-term licensing arrangement with Hachette Filipacchi Magazines to publish three home plans magazines: Woman's Day Favorite Home Plans, Best-Selling Home Plans from Home Magazine and Metropolitan Home Plans.

"We are very excited that HFM has entrusted us with the prestigious Woman's Day, Home and Metropolitan Home brands," said Frank Anton, President of Hanley-Wood, LLC. "These are well known trademarks in the industry and we're honored to publish under them."

Home Planners will publish from 14 to 16 issues per year using the three brand names licensed from HFM. "Woman's Day Favorite Home Plans will be the lead title due to its frequency and broad distribution at both checkout and mainline," according to Rickard Bailey, CEO of Home Planners.

In addition to the HFM titles, Home Planners will continue to publish 24 additional home plans magazines under its own brand. "Our line of home plans magazines has grown steadily and we're working now to ensure quality distribution at key retailers around the country," says Bailey. "The addition of the Woman's Day, Home and Metropolitan Homes plans titles greatly enhances our position as a strong and growing player in this category."
