Harper Lee Cooperating With New Biography

Posted on April 27, 2011

Former Chicago Tribune reporter Marja Mills is writing a biography about To Kill a Mockingbird author Harper Lee. The biography will include the perspective of Harper Lee herself. Lee has shied away from interviews over the years, but CBC reports that Marja Mills got Lee's cooperation as well as interviews with her friends and family.

Penguin Press announced on Tuesday that it has acquired the book, but it has not set a publication date. Harper Lee will turn 85 on Thursday.
