Hoy LLC and Megazines Publications Enter Partnership

Hoy, a Spanish-language daily newspaper, and Megazines Publications announced that they have entered a partnership to provide consumer lifestyle magazines to Hoy readers in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. The first magazine to be distributed in Hoy's three city editions this summer is Sobre Ruedas, a publication for auto enthusiasts. Megazines Publications will also introduce three other monthly publications Acuarela, Onda Joven and Horizontes. Megazines Publication plans to distribute each magazine brand to Hoy readers over the next year.

"The lifestyle content of Megazines Publications is a great complement to Hoy's local, national and international news," said Louis Sito, publisher of Hoy and Tribune Publishing vice president/Hispanic media. "From fashion to automobiles to consumer technology, Megazines will provide Hoy readers with additional news and information in an entertaining format."

Megazines Publications produces and distributes publications that deliver news and information to the U.S. Hispanic consumer based on their specific interests, lifestyle and culture. Sobre Ruedas is presented in a lifestyle manner and designed to deliver useful and timely information regarding the automotive world. Acuarela focuses on the complexity and diverse interests of today's multifaceted Hispanic woman. Onda Joven will cover topics of interest to teenagers including fashion, extreme sports, video games, consumer technology, interpersonal relations and celebrity news and interviews. Horizontes will cover the latest trends in science and technology with special focus on consumer technologies.

Hoy is the nation's fastest growing Spanish-language daily newspaper, with editions in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. As of March 2004, Hoy's daily paid circulation is 109,598, an increase of 20 percent over 2003. Hoy is published by Tribune Company.
