Huffington Post Launches Digital Magazine Called Huffington

Posted on July 7, 2012

The Huffington Post website has launched a digital magazine for the iPad, called Huffington. The magazine can be found here on iTunes. It promises "the very best" of the The Huffington Post website, as well as content not found on the website.

The weekly magazine will cost 99 cents for a single issue, $1.99 for a 1-month subscription and $19.99 for a 1-year subscription. If it works, the subscription fees would give The Huffington Post a revenue stream outside of advertising.

Arianna Huffington introduces the Huffington in a post on The Huffington Post. She writes, "Huffington's content will emphasize the rich -- and richly rewarding -- interactions that come from uninterrupted time spent in the company of creative minds. Within these pages are stories to be savored, passed among friends and family, read -- and re-read -- in bed or in sunny rooms over a late breakfast and multiple cups of coffee. Because, as with books and print magazines, there's something about tablet reading that frees you from the push and pull of the news cycle."
