Hyperion Names Martha Levin Vice President, Editor-in-Chief

Martha K. Levin has been named vice president, editor-in-chief, Hyperion. The announcement was made by Robert S. Miller, vice president and group publisher, Disney Book Publishing. She will start on February 9, 1998.

Said Miller: "Martha is one of our industry's most consummate professionals. We are thrilled to have her joining Hyperion and we look forward to benefiting from her keen eye and her passion for books."

Levin was most recently senior vice president and publisher, Anchor Books/Doubleday. Prior to that she held various positions in subsidiary rights, including vice president and director of subsidiary rights at Random House Publishing Company. Levin began her career at the Julian Bach Literary Agency as assistant to Wendy Weil. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from Barnard College.
