IC Magazine Named SCTE Official Publication

Posted on January 12, 2000

IC, a solutions magazine for broadband systems, has announced that the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) has selected the magazine as its official international publication. IC, and its companion publication, Communications Technology (CT), is published by Phillips Business Information, Inc. (PBI).

"Technology information is one of the most critical needs identified by industry members in the latest IC reader survey," said Nancy Maynard, vice president and group publisher for PBI's Cable Group. "Our partnership with SCTE will further increase the amount, quality and timeliness of the technical data we provide to our readers."

"Our relationship with Phillips is certainly not a new one," said John Clark, SCTE president. "Because our partnership with PBI's Communications Technology has been so successful in helping us deliver information primarily to a domestic audience, we are looking forward to achieving global reach through an official relationship with IC."

SCTE, based in Exton, Pa., is an international not-for-profit professional association that has been serving the broadband telecom industry's technical community since 1969. Currently, the organization has more than 16,000 active members worldwide. Phillips Business Information, Inc., a subsidiary of Phillips International, Inc., provides a broad range of business information resources for executives in specialized industries including telecommunications, media, aviation, aerospace, satellite and energy.
