IDG Appoints Michela O'Connor Abrams to Computerworld President & CEO

IDG has announced the promotion of Michela O'Connor Abrams to President and CEO of Computerworld. Michela O'Connor Abrams has more than 15 years of industry experience and brings a rich background of technology and consumer publishing and strategic business development to her new role as president and CEO of Computerworld. Since March of this year, she has served as Computerworld publisher, a role she will retain.

From 1996 to 1998 O'Connor Abrams served as chief operating officer of Ziff-Davis Events, where she managed content, sales, marketing and operations for 13 trade shows and conferences, and consulting services. From 1991 to 1996, she was group vice president and publisher for The McGraw-Hill Companies' computer trade publications, where she was responsible for the operation and management of LAN Times, Network Technical Journal, Selling Networks, and Open Computing.
