IDG's Solutions Integrator Expands Editorial Team

Solutions Integrator, a magazine for the technology integration community, announced that Dave Brambert and Ian Jacobs have joined the editorial staff. Solutions Integrator, published by International Data Group's Channel Services Group, is focused on servicing the needs of solution integrators who are providing solutions for the technology needs of businesses.
Dave Brambert was appointed executive editor of Solutions Integrator's networking coverage. His responsibilities will include editing and writing articles focused on networking topics and in addition, he will head up certain special projects including custom publishing and editorial advisory board activities. Brambert comes to Solutions Integrator from NetworkVAR, where he was editor-in-chief for the past five years. Prior to NetworkVAR, he held various editorial and management positions at LAN Magazine. Brambert holds a degree in Communications/Journalism from Loyola University.
Ian Jacobs has been hired as a senior editor covering software. His responsibilities will include editing and writing stories on applications, databases and software development tools. Prior to joining Solutions Integrator, Jacobs was the west coast bureau chief for VARBusiness. Prior to that, he was a freelance writer for several high tech publications, including MacWEEK and Computer Reseller News. Jacobs holds a B.A. from Rutgers University and an M.A. from Stanford University.
Based in San Mateo, CA, Solutions Integrator debuted in November 1997 at Comdex Fall and is distributed bi-weekly. It is a controlled circulation magazine of 90,000 solutions integrators. The editorial covers complex technology integration issues including technology assessment and implementation, IT buying practices and plans, business strategies, vendor technology roadmaps and vertical industry opportunities.
