iExalt, Inc., a provider of Internet products and services to the Christian community, has announced that it has completed the acquisition of WordCross Enterprises, Inc. (d/b/a/ Christian Happenings), based in Columbus, Ohio. This acquisition complements iExalt's online calendar of Christian events.
"Christian Happenings will provide a substantial amount of content for iEvents and will direct traffic to the site through its publications," said Jack I. Tompkins, iExalt's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "With a bi-monthly circulation close to 300,000 in fifteen metropolitan regions, the publications also provide an excellent platform to cross-market our other services and products, such as filtered Internet access, electronic research materials and e-commerce sites. We believe that there are significant growth opportunities for Christian Happenings as we expand coverage to additional metropolitan areas of the country."
Founded in 1984, Christian Happenings publications focus on Christian concerts, seminars, conferences and other events throughout the United States. The magazine is published bimonthly in several regional editions and is distributed through churches and Christian bookstores. Advertising revenue from event promoters supports the publications. The company also operates a website, which features tickets sales for selected events.
"Our goal is to have iEvents become the largest online source of Christian event information in America," Tompkins added. "By establishing a predominant market position, http://www.iEvents.net will continually draw a high volume of Internet traffic. This traffic will not only contribute to the success of iEvents.net, but to the success of the complete family of iExalt products and services."
