Posted on November 21, 2000

Inside.com, a news and information service for entertainment and media professionals, and MSNBC.com, an Internet news site, have announced a content alliance. The agreement allows MSNBC.com to incorporate Inside.com news and information into its new Media & Entertainment section, and elsewhere on the site. Inside, which is the primary content provider for the new area, joins The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Newsweek, E! Online, and ZDNet as news suppliers to MSNBC.com.

``MSNBC continues to grow its business section to be the premiere destination on the Web for in-depth and breaking business news,'' said Merrill Brown, editor in chief of MSNBC.com. We are always looking for innovative content opportunities, such as with Inside.com, that continue to make MSNBC.com the first choice for consumers looking for news and information most relevant to them.``

``Inside's partnership with MSNBC.com allows us to further their standing as the leader in Web-based news,'' says Michael Hirschorn, editor-in-chief of Inside. ``It's an endorsement of the quality of our journalism, and a clear sign that we've quickly become the industry leader for entertainment and media business news.''
